Kyivstar transitioned data monetisation from a third-party cookie setup to a telecom-based identity infrastructure powered by myGaru, increasing addressable reach, enabling cross-channel activation and activating interoperability with other data vendors.

Solution

Through integration with myGaru’s telecom-driven identity technology and deployment of the myGaru data clean room, Kyivstar transitioned to a cookie-free infrastructure that enabled audience reach of approximately 97% across its subscriber base. By leveraging myGaru technology, Kyivstar recovered previously inaccessible traffic across all environments, including Safari, Firefox, and embedded browsers in Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and WhatsApp. Its data also became actionable beyond display — across in-app, social, and retail media channels, expanding reach beyond display.

At the same time, the transition to myGaru’s privacy-first clean room enabled interoperability with other data vendors, fostering cross-vendor data synergy. All activations are executed within a closed environment using encrypted and pseudonymised identifiers, and at no point is any personally identifiable information shared with third parties. Users’ explicit consent is respected where required, and all processes fully comply with GDPR and Ukrainian data protection law. This setup not only unlocks aggregated audience insights at unprecedented scale but also reinforces Kyivstar’s commitment to privacy, transparency, and user control, while supporting the growth of ad revenue for Ukrainian media and contributing to a sovereign data ecosystem.
